Monique Black - VP, HR Services / Managing Consultant Monique Black specializes in using human resources to support business growth. She has close to 15 years of experience in managing corporate "lifecycles" - such as starts ups, mergers, acquisitions, and closures - through the smart development and application of HR policies and procedures. Before joining Vantaggio HR in 2002, she worked in the fast-and-furious tech sector, where she advised the corporate managers and boards of directors of companies such as QuickStart Technologies and Engage Games Online on organizational development, employee management, and labor law compliance. Monique began her career with Adia Services, where she honed her client services skills. Monique received her bachelor of arts in communication from Westmont College and a certificate in human resources management from UCI. Monique finds her creative outlet in craft projects with her children and in helping her husband manage a successful Newport Beach hair salon. |

Christel Bendel - VP, Business Strategy / Senior HR Consultant Christel Bendel brings a unique operational perspective to her role as Vantaggio's VP, Business Strategy and Senior HR consultant. A member of the Vantaggio HR team since 2000, Christel has devoted her career to strategic human resource management as a practitioner, student, and educator. Employers greatly benefit from her 20 years of experience at leading service companies. Christel served La Jolla Pacific, Ltd., a real estate consulting firm, as their Sr. Vice President where she played a key role implementing processes to manage the departments of human resources, sales, marketing, client documentation and IT. Christel's corporate experience also includes the hiring, training and management of large teams through rapid growth and restructuring for the international home-improvement warehouse company, Leroy Merlin, where she served as a Senior HR Director. Christel earned a master's degree in business administration from Toulouse Business School in France, and certificates in HR development from CNAM Paris and UCLA. Christel taught undergraduate courses in HR management at the University of Paris XII for three years. In her spare time, Christel enjoys being a talented cook and teaching French to her two young sons. |
Tracey Jensen - Senior HR Consultant Tracey well understands the interplay between the law and Human Resources. As a former practicing attorney and law clerk, she effectively addresses potential legal issues and, if needed, responds to administrative law complaints. She recruited, trained, and managed staff and volunteers as a directing and managing attorney at various non-profits and taught "Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation" as an adjunct law professor. Tracey subsequently specialized in Employee Relations at a large, multi-state company and is an adept problem-solver, providing well-reasoned, practical options which are sensitive to the client's culture and needs. Tracey is a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Southern California (USC) Law School. Additionally, she served as a Presidential Fellow at USC's Leadership Institute and received a certificate in Human Resources Management from California State University, Fullerton. |

Tiffany Wortham - HR Consultant With over 12 years of payroll and Human Resource experience, Tiffany Wortham, a Human Resource consultant, specializes in overseeing the integration and implementation of payroll and HRIS systems for small to medium sized companies. She frequently attends HR related seminars which include updated information about labor law and payroll. Tiffany is a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers) and has her PHR certificate (Professional in Human Resources) from HRCI, a nationally recognized certification institute. After attending Fullerton College where she studied business administration and finance, Tiffany began working in the field of technology advertising. From there, she moved into the arena of payroll and HR, working for a number of companies across varying industries. Prior to joining Vantaggio, she was the VP of HR and Payroll for a national land acquisition firm. Having worked both as an end-user of HR systems and as a consultant who advises on and implements them, Tiffany brings a unique skill set to her Vantaggio clients. When Tiffany is not expanding her Human Resource knowledge, she can be found spending quality time with her two children, and volunteering for various cancer research organizations. In addition to her professional titles, she proudly serves as Soccer Team Mom and Girl Scout Leader. |
Michelle Horgan - HR Consultant As a Northern Californian native, Michelle Horgan's HR career has spanned not only the large state of California, but many different industries from manufacturing to a PEO consulting organization. Michelle's interest in Human Resources began as a business student at California State University, Sacramento, and continued to grow as she groomed her employee relations skills in the manufacturing industry; most notably at an organic favorite, Barbara's Bakery. She continued to pursue her interest in the human resource industry as a consultant working with diverse client companies. Michelle prides herself on being a strong communicator, especially when presenting information to employees where she strives to elicit understanding and buy-in for the company. One of Michelle's greatest HR passions is developing and delivering training programs that include many real-life stories to illustrate the topic! |

Carla Albritton - HR Consultant Carla Albritton's diverse background as a social worker, teacher, and industrial HR manager gives her particular depth as an HR consultant at Vantaggio HR. She joined the firm in 2004 to aid clients in all areas of HR compliance and management, with a particular emphasis on recruiting. Prior to linking with Vantaggio HR, Carla managed the HR operations of a 600-employee company, where she handled all aspects of their HR administration including worker's compensation claims management, benefit design and administration, and key talent recruiting. She holds a dual bachelors degree in social sciences and human resource management. In addition, she has completed masters level work in business administration and education, holds a State of Florida teaching credential, and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Carla works from a satellite office in Tampa, Florida where her time is divided between a rigorous professional schedule and spending time with her family which includes twin toddlers. |
